Analogue Street Photography

Ongoing

At the beginning of 2022 I took a workshop about analogue photography and since then I have been taking my Canon A1 and plenty of Kodak Portra films with me in my travels. Shooting with film cameras has a unique charm: The process of loading film, adjusting settings, and waiting for the film to be developed adds a sense of anticipation and excitement to each shot. The tactile nature of film cameras also adds a personal touch to the experience of photography. Additionally, the limitations of film, such as a fixed ISO and the need to carefully consider each shot, can help develop the skills and creativity. The final product of an analogue photograph, the physical print, is also a tangible reminder of the experience of taking the photograph.

I have been enjoying the process and find it to be a beautiful and rewarding experience. I bring here a selection of street photographs on film taken in Istanbul, Paris, Barcelona and more.
